How to create your own 48cm body by using a 60cm Obitsu body

The 60cm Obitsu body is a tall slim body, so it is perfect with the realistic makeup on the face, like our Gretel series. But the doll with an Anime style face or the realistic makeup on a young girl's face goes better with a body with shorter legs and hands.

Some of our Obitu 60cm body users showed us their customized 48cm dolls, and we were amazed at how cute they were! So we actually created it as they told us. It takes only three or four hours for the customization. Plus it doesn't require many tools. Since you need to cut some thigh parts and lower leg parts, the legs will have a noticeable cut left. However the leg lines will be very unique and beautiful. You can hide the cuts by wearing skirts and socks.

Attention: This instruction is just an example of customizing 60cm Obitsu body. Please note that Parabox don't get involved in any accidents and damaged from your customization.
Draw a line 1cm above the bottom of the foot. Also, another line should be 5cm above the bottom of the feet. (We will trim 4cm off the leg.)
The outer leg part is soft enough to cut using a knife. Cut them into three parts just like the above picture. Throw the middle parts away.
Sand what you just cut as shown above so the other parts match up.
Bond them using super glue or glue for plastics. If you have a rough surface, sand to a smooth surface.
Re-connect the leg to the foot part. Warming them using a hair dryer will make it easier.
This is the finished example. If you don't like the rough surface on the leg, use your sand paper once again.

Let's trim 2cmm off the thigh parts. Draw a line 3cm below the top of the part. Also, another line should be 2cm from the first line.

Cut them into three parts just like the above picture by using a knife. Throw the middle parts away.

Use super glue or glue for plastics. Do not use too much glue.
Try to fit them well. The result will not be a perfect fit. 11: Your doll's thigh will look like this. 12: Use your hair dryer (or warm water) to make them reconnect easier.
Trim 1cm off both lower arm and upper arm by using a utility knife. We will take 1 cm off the lower end part of the lower arm. By using this method, the arm has no noticeable cut left. You could take the middle part off like we did with legs, which will make the arms stay strong. But arms don't have much weight like legs, so we will choose this method.
Sand what you just cut and make it round so that the arm will have a natural carve when connected to the hand part. Use glue gun around the red circle, and put it into the opening in the arm.
Do the same steps with upper arms. Trim 1cm off the end of the arm near the shoulder, and sand what you cut roundly.
Use the glue gun to attach the upper arm and the joint securely. 17: If you are using an Anime style makeup head, you can skip steps 17 to 21. If you are using an eye hole head with realistic makeup, you may want to narrow the shoulders. The left picture is before the customization, and the right one is after taking off 1cm from both sides. 18: The view from above.
Trim 1cm off the shoulder using a utility knife, and then cut about 5mm off the side of the upper torso using scissors. 20: Also, cut 5mm off the the bottom of the part to make it a balanced shape. 21: Glue the side of the part.
Let's work on the bone structures. The right one is the original, and the left one is the trimmed version. Take 4cm off the lower end part of the lower leg. Sharpen the cut so that it will fit into the ankle part well.
The thigh parts will be cut like the example on the left above.
Remove the area highlighted in red above (about 2cm) off the thigh parts.
This is the chest inner part. If you didn't trim the shoulder of the chest outer part, trim 1cm off just the bottom of the part that connects to the abdomen inner part. If you trimmed the shoulder part off the chest outer part, trim 1cm from both ends of it additionally.
A utility knife is not strong enough to cut the inner parts. You will need to use a hack saw for this step.
If you have a vice, it will simplify completion of this step safely.
 Trimmed (left) Original (right)
To make the 48cm doll, you need to trim 2cm off the abdomen part. First, trim 5mm from both ends, (cuts should be at the red lines, as in the above picture). Then trim 1cm off the middle part of the abdomen part. (But you need to open the hole for the screw after the trim. If you don't have access to the appropriate tool, you can skip this part.)
From left, the original part, then 1cm trimmed off the original, and then 2cm.

This is it. When the doll have been trimmed more , it has the weaker structure. We actually made approx. 49cm doll (39cm for up to the shoulder) by trimming 1cm off the abdomen part (step 28). You could make it 48cm doll by trimming another 1cm off the abdomen part, but we believe that it is the maximum that you could trim to keep the balance and strength.
